Aaron Rodgers Will Miss Sunday’s Matchup with the Chiefs After Testing Positive for COVID-19

The Green Bay Packers were dealt a major blow ahead of their matchup with the Kansas City Chiefs this weekend as star quarterback Aaron Rodgers has tested positive for COVID-19 and will miss Sunday’s game against Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs.

(Michael: So if you need a defense in fantasy football this week ….”)

This comes just one week after the Packers had to do without star wide receiver Davante Adams who missed Green Bay’s Thursday Night Football matchup against Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals last week.

Rodgers, 37, has thrown for 1,894 yards with 17 touchdowns and just three interceptions this season, and the Packers are leading the NFC North by a comfortable margin at 7-1 heading into this week. Jordan Love will make his first career start for Green Bay on Sunday in Kansas City in Rodgers’ place. Love was drafted in the first round by the Packers in 2020.

Rodgers, by the way, previously said he was “immunized,” but he has reportedly not been vaccinated:
