The NFL Will Look Into If the Packers Violated COVID-19 Protocols After Aaron Rodgers’ Positive Test

Aaron Rodgers’ positive COVID-19 test and subsequent announcement that he’ll be missing the team’s upcoming game has had quite the trickle-down effect. In case you missed it, Rodgers is reportedly unvaccinated, despite leading reporters to believe that he was.

And now, the NFL is getting involved.

Who knew one positive test could resultꩵ in peel📖ing back so many layers?

The NFL came through with a statement saying it will investigate whether the Packers failed to enforce the league’s COVID-19 protocols with respect to an apparently unvaccinated Rodgers. As it was pointed out in a previous post, team b💯eat writers made note♚ of Rodgers not following the protocols laid out by the league when it comes to meeting with media members.

This is new ground for the NFL, so I’m not sure what the protocol is for this situation. Would the league suspend Rodgers? Could he be looking at a fine? Or maybe the NFL sees the Packers at fault. After all, it’s the team that should be responsible for enforcing the protocols in place. Even though we saw the Ra🎀id🍌ers take a fine for their defiance of COVID-19 protocols last year, it’s unlike what we’re looking at with this particular situation. And because the league might feel embarrassed because of how this was all unpacked in a deceitful way, I can’t help but wonder if the NFL passes the buck and makes the Packers and Rodgers take a hit.

There is no real precedent for a situation like this one, so I’m fascinated to see how it plays out.
