If you were patiently waiting for the Bears to find some help for the offensive li♛ne, your time has come.
The Chicago Bears are signing Lucas Pat✅rick — a ܫlineman who has plenty of experience in the NFC North, featuring five years with the Green Bay Packers.

The deal is for just two years and $8 million fully guaranteed in year one. That’s a relative bargain. In fact, that feels like a downright win for a Bears team trying to improve their offense while threading the needle of a perilous cap situation.
Patrick, 28, had been with the Packers since 2017. The undrafted Duke product has 7ꦜ3 games of playing experience under his belt, including 34 starts — 28 of which came over the last two seasons. Based on his history, the Bears could conceivably play Patrick at guard or center. And considering how we’re still so early in the offseason transaction process, that versatility could come in handy when it comes to the roster-building🌺 process.
We’ll dive into the signing more later as we sort through some of his background. In the meantime, it is just nice to have another warm, able-bodied blocker in the hudd💖le. E✱very little bit helps, after all.
