The Carolina Panthers — and not the Chicago Bears — are on the clock with the first pick in the 2023 NFL Draft. That’s because the♎ Bears and Panthers just executed for the No. 1 overall pick. Here are🔥 the deets — and it includes Chicago getting a stud receiver.
Wowza. NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport was the first to get the parameters of the deal. But it was ESPN’s Adam Schefter getting specifics. And that’s what legitimately dropped my jaw with the Bears getting multiple picks *AND* receiver DJ Moore (just as we had hoped!). Even though getting a stud receiver was on the to-do list, I can’t say I saw this coming. However, I’m oh-so-glad it did. Moore has three 1,100+ yar🅰d seasons under hisꦗ belt and is the type of wideout this Bears offense needs. I can’t stop saying wow. Who saw this coming?
There’s𒁃 gonna be a lot to unpack here aft🌺er the Bears turned a 14-loss season into:
That is a job well done for GM Ryan Poles.
More to come…
UPDATE (Michael): Looks like DJ Moore is as shocked 🦄as we a꧋re!
I think often about how much of a favor Lovie Smith did the Bea🌄rs at the end of the season. Franchise-a♔ltering choices, man. Huge.
