Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins has requested a trade

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins has requested a trade.

The Bengals placed the franchise tag on Higgins last weekend after the two sides failed to reach an agreement on a contract extension. , “Higgins loves Cincinnati and hoped to be with the team long term, but is disappointed that the team has not had any talks about a long-term contract extension since March 2023. He’s ready to move on to a new home.”

This makes one of the best wide receivers in football potentially available via trade. However, Bengals GM Duke Tobin balked at the idea that the Bengals would trade Higgins at least year’s NFL Scouting Combine.

“I’m not in the business of making other teams better,” Tobin said at the 2023 NFL Scouting Combine. “I’m in the business of making the Cincinnati Bengals better. So trading Tee Higgins is not on my mind That’s their problem, they want a receiver, they can go find their own. In my opinion, Tee is a good piece for the Cincinnati Bengals, so the trade stuff is a little ridiculous.”

If the Bengals do have a change of heart this time around, the Chicago Bears should be on the phone with Cincinnati. Pairing Higgins with D.J. M☂oore would be a dream scenario for whoever ends up being the Bea🔯rs quarterback in 2024.

Russell Wilson plans to sign with the Pittsburgh Steelers when the new league year opens

Russell Wilson is embaꦓrking on a new journey, this time clad in the black and gold of the Pittsburgh Steelers.

The esteemed nine-time Pro Bowl quarterback is slated to ink a deal with the Steelers as the new league year kicks off on March 13, . The agreement will see Pittsburgh shell out $1.2 million for Wilson’s services in 2024.

Wilson wasted no time in sharing a hype video on social🐠 media to express his excitement for his 13th NFL season, which h꧒e will spend donning the Steelers jersey.

Wilson sꦑwiftly delved into free agency proceedings after his release fro♐m the Broncos on March 4. With permission to engage with potential suitors, he made Pittsburgh his inaugural destination, meeting with the Steelers on Friday.

The discussions proved fruitful, resulting in a win-win scenario for both parties. The Steelers secure a remarkable deal for one of the most impactful quarterbacks available in this year’s free agency market. At the same time, Wilson gains an opportunity to further his career with a new team.

Thanks to the Broncos covering most of the $39 million owed to Wilson for the upcoming season, the quarterback’s move to the Steelers comes at a relatively low cost, facilitating Pittsburgh’s ability to assemble a competitive roster around him.
