The Packers look like they might be getting quite literally the best-possible scenario after Jordan Love’s scary knee injury in their Week 1 loss to Philly. Green Bay’s newly extended quarterback was back at non-padded practice on Wednesday with a sleeve over his knee. Love took part in stretching and early practice drills, but we won’t know what his participation was until the practice reports are revealed later.
, Ian Rapoport reported that Love is targeting a Week 5 return. Love’s return to practice today would certainly put him on track for that, if not even sooner. Currently, he’s listed as questionable on Green Bay’s injury report.
Jordan Love’s Return Should Up Bears’ Urgency Level
Love’s return coming sooner rather than later makes this next stretch of games even more critical for the Bears. There likely will be no extended stretch of Malik Willis playing for Green Bay, which would mean the chances of them falling too far back in the NFC North are also very small.
Chicago has a favorable seven-game stretch beginning this week, and they will desperately nee🅰d to stack wins before they undertake a brutal stretch of NFC North battles, starting with a home showdown against the Pack.
These next seven weeks were always going to be vital to the Bears’ playoff chances, but a potential Jordan Love injury offered maybe the slightest margin for error if it meant the Packers might also stumble a bit. Now that Love will be back in the fold sooner rather than later, these next two months will be massive for Chicago.
