Caesars Joins Campaign Against Legalization
contributed $4 million to a campaign that is aiming to convince voters to vote against legalizing online sports betting in Missouri. The money went to the “Missourians Against the Deceptive Online Gambling Amendment” political committee which was formed on September 10.
Caesars made three separate donations from different casi𒈔nos in the state and is the only casino company taking a clear stance on the issue.
DraftKings, FanDuel Contribute to Winning for Missouri Education
Digital platforms like DraftKings and Fan🗹Duel are part of the Sports Betting Alliance or SBA. The SBA has been rolling out ads in hopes of encouraging voters to approve Amendment 2 in November. Also, the SBAꦗ supports Winning for Missouri Education and records show that DraftKings and Fanduel have dished out $9.525 million to the organization since January.
“No” Campaign Launched Last Week
A “No on Amendment 2” website was launched and is also against the legalization of sports betting in Missouri. The “No” committee believes special loopholes will keep the tax revenue from going to the state to fund schools.
Voters Will Decide on November 5
On election day, voters in Missouri w🐻ill decide if they want sports betting to become legal in the state. A recent poll shows that a majority supports the approval of sports betting. If legalized, we potentially could see online sports betting in the state of Missouri by the Super Bowl but no ti♌meline has been confirmed.
