Blackhawks Sign Forward Prospect Paul Ludwinski

On Saturday morning, the Blackhawks announced the club has signed forward Paul Ludwinski to a three-year, entry-level contract that runs through the 2꧂025-26 season. The deal has a $931,666.67 cap hit an💯d begins next season; however, the Blackhawks will likely allow him to stay in the OHL for another year, in which case the contract would slide another year.

Ludwinski, who turns 19 on April 23, was a second-round pick (No. 39 overall) in the 2022 NHL Draft — the second pick they received in the trade that sent Alex DeBrincat to Ottawa.

This season with the Kingston Frontenacs, Ludwinski has nine goals and 24 assists in 34 games. His season started late because of a concussion he suffered at the Blackhawks Prospect Showcase and he’s dealt with other injuries this season, but his speed and skill were evident at the various prospect camps last summer after he was drafted.
