A fღew fun notes from this calendar that are exciting:
Dec. 7 shapes up as the first opportunity to see Bedard face whomever the Ducks select second overall on Wednesday night in Chicago.
The Blackhawks have 25 games on weekends (Friday through Sunday) this coming season. That’s a HUGE number — 25 is the most weekend games for the Blackhawks since 2008-09 and the seven home Saturday games are the most since the 1957-58 season.
The Blackhawks have seven matinee games on their home schedule, all of which are set to take place on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday and have start times between 1 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. That’s the most matinee home games since the Blackhawks had eight during the 2003-04 season.
The Blackhawks have a four-game homestand surrounding St. Patrick’s Day in March! They won’t wear any green jerseys for warm-ups but hey, beer might be green!
Nine of the Blackhawks’ ten games in February are at home.
