Dave Bolland was so much fun to watch for the Blac✨khawks. He was always in the mix and made life miserable for opponents. And his reaction to scoring 🥃one of the two goals within 17 legendary seconds in Boston was/is priceless. Bolland will always be one of the guys Blackhawks fans appreciate from the championship teams.
However, I’m not the same physical approach will work in pickleball, but that’s where Bolland is headed now! I would sign up to play a game with Bolland!
I think many of us assumed Martin Misiak was going to play with the Erie Otters in the OHL this coming season after he was the first overall pick in the import draft. Now, it’s official. Misiak signed on the dotted line with Erie yesterday. Good to see it! Excited for him to have a good CHL season.
The wonderful people at JFresh decided to re-draft the class of 2019 yesterday. That was the year the Blackhawks owned the third overall pick and, to the dismay of more than a few fans, opted to take a big center in Kirby Dach. In this attempt at a do-over, Dach falls to pick No. 8 and the Blackhawks end up with Cole Caufield instead. Chicago’s second-round pick, Alex Vlasic, slid to No. 47 in the re-draft but I’ll humbly submit that his stock will rise quickly if/when he’s a full-time NHL player this coming season. If you look through this re-draft of the first two rounds you’ll notice that the Blackhawks weren’t the only team that missed four years ago.
The Blackhawks make an appearance on Puckdoku today. I already gave today’s grid a run and posted mine on . I scored a 27 uniqueness. Tweet at us to let me know how you did!
Connor Murphy tied the know this weekend in what appeared to have been a beautiful ceremony. There were plenty of current and former teammates in attendance as well. If you check out the post on , you might notice Anthony Duclair, Brandon Hagel, Dylan Strome, Malcolm Subban, Sean Kuraly, MacKenzie Entwistle and Taylor Raddysh in a photo or two. Congrats to the Murphys!
You know what’s awesome? The Cubs actually going for it. They didn’t swing massively big before yesterday’s trade deadline, but they made a move or two that could help them make things incredibly interesting in the NL Central down the stretch. Hanging a 20 burger on the Reds last night doesn’t hurt the hope bus, either! Love it! Let’s go!
Finally, massive, enormous shout out to Brett for making it 42 hours straight live blogging the trade deadline for this year’s BN Blogathon. It was an impressive accomplishment to watch unfold on social media and the site. But the reason for the caffeine is so special. One of the reasons I truly cherish writing here is because of the quality of people I get to work with on a daily basis, and this is a reminder of how great Brett is. And, on his behalf, thank you to everyone who helped the Blogathon raise over $28,000 for Make-A-Wish!
