Connor Bedard, Kevin Korchinski Invited To NHLPA/Upper Deck Rookie Showcase

Want to get your hands on the first cards of Connor Bedard or Kevin Korchinski in a Blackhawks’ sweater? It sounds like they’ll be getting some photos taken next week for that purpose.

Bedard and Korchinski, the Blackhawks’ top pick in the last two NHL drafts, are reportedly among the 35 prospects invited to the 13th annual National Hockey League Players’ Association Rookie Showcase on September 5 at MedStar Capitals Iceplex in Arlington, Virginia. The goal of the event is to allow Upper Deck “to gather content of many of the game’s top young prospects and rookies in their respective NHL team jerseys to be used for upcoming trading cards and related promotional materials.”

Lukas Reichel represented the Blackhawks at the event .
