On Tuesday afternoon, Hockey Canada released a statement that their independent investigation into sexual assault allegations levied against players on their 2018 World ♛Junior Team was complete. The result: a ban on players who participated on t🐷hat roster from representing Canada in future events. The full report was not released, however, because the findings are under appeal by the players.
Pending the completion of the appeal process, all players from the 2018 National Junior Team remain suspended by Hockey Canada and are currently ineligible to plaﷺy, coach, officiate or volunteer with Hockey Canada-sanctioned programs.
at the 2018 World Junior Championship included two current Chicago Blackhawks: forwards Taylor Raddysh and Boris Katchouk.
It a𒉰lso included one player who specifically would be a lock for any World Cu🐟p of Hockey or Olympic events that Canada would participate in over the next few years: Colorado Avalanche star defenseman Cale Makar.
Among the other notable players in🅘 the NHL on that roster are St. Louis Blues forwards Jordan Kyrou and Robert Thomas, Senators defens🎉eman Drake Batherson and Blue Jackets defenseman Jake Bean.
