Blackhawks general manager Kyle Davidson spoke with the media on Saturday. There were a number of questions, first and foremost about the disappearance of forward Corey Perry.
The only updates Davidson would provide were that the decision was the organization’s, not Perry’s. And that he’ll be away from the the team for the “foreseeable future.” He was asked about it being trade related, but wouldn’t go too far in answering that question.
“You know, I thi𒆙nk to start ruling anything out I think is irresponsible, so I’m just gonna not comment on any possible outcome of this,” Davidson said.
It’s important that we all keep in mind that when the organization talks about being transparent, there are situations where they cannot give us a full story immediately. Davidson was also asked about Kevin Korchinski potentially participating in the World Junior Championship for Canada. His answer was in line with Richardson’s previous comments: he’s an important part of the Blackhawks in the NHL now, and that isn’t his inclination.
