I’M TRYING TO STAY CALM … BUT LONZO BALL ISN’T MAKING IT EASY!
The Chicago Bulls’ starting point guard took to Instagram on Friday to share an update of sorts. Not only could Ball be seen dunking for the first time since his two knee surgeries, but he also shared clips of himself jumping off one leg and running on the treadmill.
You can catch the dunk be🎐low and head to his Instagram for the rest .
Let’s be clear here: We still don’t know how close Ball is to an actual return. This also doesn’t suggest that Ball is particularly close to returning. With that said, there is no denying that this is one of the most positive updates we’ve gotten on his status since he underwent his second surgery this offseason.
The videos come only a couple of weeks after head coach Billy Donovan shared that Ball was “doing more physically.” Seeing some of that progress with our own eyes is undoubtedly refreshing after months of backtracking.
I’m sure Donovan will be asked about this later on, so we’ll keep you posted with any new comments. Again, I’m not expecting any sort of shocking update about his progress right now, but this does at least signal that some things are improving.
