Matas Buzelis continued his impressive Summer League run against the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday night.🦄
Despite the Bulls losing 85-77, Buzelis comfortably looked like one of the best players on the floor (again). He finished with 18 points on the night and also used this performance to flash his defensive chops with 4 block⛎s and 2 steals. Nevertheless, his offensive ferociousness is what stood out most over the four quarters, as the 19-year-old was looking to dunk everything.
🌳 is the very first basket of the night when Buzelis followed Henri Drell in transition and converted the putback slam:

came in the f🗹inal seconds. Buzelis poked the ball away with a wrap-around steal before finishing a one-handed jam on the other end.

The Bulls still have two games left before things wrap up, but it’s easy to declare this Summer League as a win for Matas Buzelis. He’s made his presence felt and flashed his versatility from the jump. There is no denying that the young forward has a lot of room to grow, but his relentless hustle and aggressiveness give him a great foundation going into Year 1.
Bulls fans should be very excited about this year’s No. 11 pick.
