As the Chicago Bulls transi꧟tion to a new network, one familiar face will not make the move𒊎 from .
According to the long-꧒time analyst Will Perdue has been told he will not be a full-time member of the Chicago Sports Network. The new broadcast 💮channel will officially air Bulls games starting this October, as well as Blackhawks and White Sox games moving forward.
Perdue told the Sun-Times that the studio will be going with a two-man group that will feature a host and one analyst. However, Perdue was also told the network would like to welcome guests throughout the season, which c🐽ould include the four-time NBA champion.
Nevertheless, a Chicago Bulls pre or post-game without Perdue will take some getting used to. The former big man was an enjoyable constant for a team that was anything but. I always respected Perdue’s professionalism, authenticity, and blunt commentary. Was he the most outgoing personality on set? No, but he was never afraid to call out the organization for its lack of success. Perdue felt like someone who never lowered the bar for a franchise that had once owned the mountaintop.
One can only hope whoever is in the building next season adopts some of Perdue’s candor. Especially with the organization embracing a rebuild of sorts, there will be plenty to critique over the next season or two.
Thanks for a good run, Will (oh … and a few championships!).
I encourage you to read through the Sun-Times full article for direct quotes from Will Perdue about his departure.
