Bulls City Jersey Tease, Okoro Extension, Barkley’s Next Move, and Other Bulls Bullets

While it’s an NFL Sunday and we’re in the thick of the Bulls offseason, there are still a few items to get to. Before you watch seven hours of commercial-free football, let’s get to some quick hitters.

Bulls Bullets

  • The Bulls have their City Edition uniforms! Well, sort of. We have a drop date for when we’ll get to see those City Editon uniforms, and that will be November 14th. So that means just under two months from now. For the most part, I think the Bulls have had pretty solid City Edition uniforms. I do hope they go back to finding a way to incorporate the Chicago flag colors, I think it’s a great change-up from the normal colors. I’m excited to see them, and I’m fairly confident they’ll be fine at the very least.
  • I apologize for missing it in yesterday’s bullets, but Happy Birthday Jevon Carter!
  • Moving around the central division, the Cavaliers finally came to a contract extension with RFA Isaac Okoro. He was selected by the Cavs one pick after the Bulls selected Patrick Williams with the fourth overall pick in 2020. Okoro’s contract is for $38 million over three seasons, so just over $12 million per year. For reference, Patrick Williams inked a five-year, $90 million contract with Chicago this summer. Williams and Okoro are averaging similar numbers over their careers, and they’ve both had their issues staying healthy at times. Okoro passed on his qualifying offer to try to.

  • Where will Charles Barkley end up after this season? The upcoming NBA season is very likely the last for the NBA on TNT, so naturally that has sparked questions of what will happen to the most popular show in basketball, if not sports – Inside the NBA. Jason Jones of The Athletic speculated earlier this week that though offers will come from ESPN, NBA, and Amazon, Barkley could very well just remain with Turner. Chuck has insisted he’s not leaving Turner, and I can see why. They’ve been incredibly loyal to him and they don’t try to censor him at all. I truly believe Chuck will probably stay with Turner in whatever role they want him. It would be a shame to lose him from regular NBA coverage, but it would be an even bigger shame to see him go to a network that wouldn’t let him be himself.
  • It’s GAMEDAY! Good luck to the Bears as they take on the Houston Texans tonight on Sunday Night Football!
  • Unfortunately, the Cubs just can’t hold onto a late lead.
  • The Blackhawks’ prospects are showing out in their Showcase!
