SMU (-10) vs Boston College
SMU (11-2) is on fire and riding a 9-game win streak that includes t𝓀he American Championship Game over Tulane. QB Preston Stone is out after injuring his leg at the end of the season so its up to Kevin Jennings to lead the Mustangs.. Kennings threw for 2023 yards and a TD in the American title game. RB Jaylan Knighton had a solid season with 720 yards rushing and 7 TDs.
For Boston College, quarterback Thomas Castellanos threw for over 2,100 yards with 15 TD passes. He does the most damage with his legs as he ran for 957 yards and 11 touchdowns on the year. The Eagles saw loss♌es at running back to the transfer portal so Kye Robichaux 🌟will get his chance to shine after running for 691 yards and 7 TDs during the regular season.
Boston College backed into the bowl game 🅺at 6-6 due to a three game slide with losses to Virginia Tech, Pittsburgh, and Miami to end the season. This came after a five game win streak in the middl🃏e of the year.
Rutgers (-1.5) vs Miami FL
For the Pinstripe Bowl, Miami finds itself sitting at 7-5 after a 4-0 start. Quarterback Tyler Van Dyke threw 19 touchdown passes on the year but has decided to transfer to Wiscon🌠sin. One of this top targets was WR Xavier Restrepo who had almost 1,000 yards receiving and 5 touchdowns on the ye🎃ar.
The Hurricanes have a solid backfield that includes Mark Fletcher and Henry Parrish who combined for over 1,000 yards on🙈 the ground and 11 TDs this season for the Hurricanes.
Rutgers was 6-2 and feeling good before four straight losses🦹 ended the Scarlet Knights season. These losses included top Big Ten opponents like Ohio State, Iowa, and Penn State. In the backfield, running back Kyle Monangai had a good season with 1,099 yards rushing and 9 touchdowns.
Kansas State (-2.5) vs North Carolina State
The Pop-Tarts Bowl features an interesti✨ng matchup as Kansas State (8-4) takes on NC State (9-3). Kansas State took Texas to the wire in a 33-30 loss and had a chance at appearing in the Big 12 title game before losing its season finale to Iowa State.
QB Will Howard enter𒐪ed the transfer portal after a strong season. H𝓰e threw for 2,643 yards with 24 touchdown passes for Kansas State.
NC State has put together a strong finish by winning its last five games after a 24-3 losss dropped the Wolfpack to 4-3 on the year. The win streak has included victories over Clemson, Miami, Wake Forest, Virginia Tech, and No𒁏rt🌌h Carolina.
QB Brennan Armstrong has gotten stronger ﷺas the year has progressed and finishe🀅d the regular season with 11 touchdown passes and over 1,600 yards. He threw 3 touchdowns in the season finale against rival North Carolina.
Arizona (-3) vs Oklahoma
Arizona (9-3) is looking for a 10-win season as it enters the Alamo Bowl vs Oklahoma (10-2). The Wildcats had a strong run the end the season in the PAC-12 and currently have 🌄a six game winning streak that has boasted wins over Utah𝐆, UCLA, and Oregon State.
At quarterback, Noah Fifita had a strong season as he threw for 23 touchdowns and only 5 intercptions. He threw for more than 2,50꧃0 yards and had one of the top targets in the PAC-12 to throw to. Tetairoa McMillan was outstanding with 80 receptions for 1,242 yards and 10 touchdowns.
A tough loss to Oklahoma State was the only thing that kept Oklahoma out of the Big 12 title game. The Sooners were 7-0 before a couple of losses knocked their season off course. Quarterback Dillion Gabriel had a great year with 30 touchdown passes b💟ut h🐈e is moving on and transferring to Oregon.
