Michigan Season Review
In a season filled with controversy, the Wolverines found a way to go undefđeated despite head coach Jim Harbaugh being suspended twice during 2023. Michigan found a way to win games against top-10 teams like Oꌯhio State and Penn State on its way to a 26-0 win over Iowa in the Big Ten Championship.
The win over Iowa gave the Wolverines their third Big Ten title in a row along with their second consđđ ecutive 13-0 season heading into the College Football Playoff. In the Rose Bowl, the Wolverines beat Alabama 27-20 in overtime to advance to the national championship.
Blake Corum scored 25 touchdowns on the ground this year including the eventual game-winner vs Alabama to send đźMichigan to the CFP Final.

Washington Season Review
Washington just keeps on winning as the Huskies are 14-0 and PAC-12 Championships heading into the CFP Final. Michael Penix has been spectacular throwing for over 4,600 yards and 35 touchdowns. He helped the Huskies beat Oregon in the reŕ˛gular season 36-33 and in the PAC-12 title game 34-31 for a CFP berth.
The Huskies then took down no. 3 Texas 37-31 to secure aಠspot vs Michigan inđ the CFP National Championship. Washington survived several close calls this season including a 22-20 win over Oregon State, a 24-21 win over Washington State, and a 31-24 win over Arizona.
đRegardless, the Huskies are unbeaten and ready đ°for a title matchup with Michigan.

More on the CFP National Championship
The College Football Playoff took over for the BCS system back in the 2014 season. Ohio State won the first CFP National ChampięŚonship despite being the no. 4 seed. The Buckeyes beat no. 1 Alabama before beating no. 2 Oregon for the first CFP ChęŚampionship.
Since thâen, Alabama has won the title three times with Clemson and Georgia each claiming two national titles. Alabama lost to Clemson twice in the final in the 2016 and 2018 seasons. The Crimson Tide also lost in 2021 to Georgia. Clemson lost title matchups with LSU in 2019 and Alabama in 2015.
