The Triple-A Iowa Cubs have one more week left in their season, and they played their final home game yesterday. I’ll dispense quickly with the part where they gave up 17 runs and did not win (eep), and will instead focus on the 10 runs they scored and the fun offensive performances that generated those runs.
The Cubs had three top prospects come up a hit shy of the cycle in the game. Monster days for some of the biggest🤡 names.
Matt Shaw went 4-5 with♕ a homer, a triple, and two singles.
Owen Caissie went 4-6 wi♌th a homer, a double, and two singles.
Kevin Alcántara went 3-6 with a homer, a double, and a si𒁃n🐽gle.
Moises Ballesteros merely doubled, singled, and walked in the game. Woof!
