Fantasy Football QB Rankings, Who Should I Add Off Waiver Wires:
Baker Mayfield (Buc♛caneers), was the highest recommended QB w𝓀aiver wire pickup this week.
Analysis
First things first. We need to take this performance with a Washington-sized grain of salt. The Commanders were absolutely atrocious against fantasy quarterbacks last season, allowing an NFL-high 20.7 points p🐼er game to the position. Tommy DeVito and Tyrod Taylor had 20-point outings against the Commanders.
Yes, you read that right. Anಌd little has changed for the better. So while Baker Mayfield’s 289-yard, four-TD performance on Sunday is shocking … it’s not that shocking.
Still, Baker was a QB1 last season and has started this season as — checks notes — the QB2 overall 🐎in 2024, behind only Josh Allen. Next week should be a tougher test against the Lions on the road, so feel free to sit on this pickup for a week. But it’s a pickup that should be made.

Gardner Minshew II (Raiders) at Ravens
Minshew is a caretaker for ✨the Raiders offense until they find their quarterback of the future. He wasn’t great in their Week 1 loss to the Chargers, but he also wasn’t terrible with a final stat line of 257 passing yards, one touchdown, and one interception.
Last season, he oꦡnly had four games in꧂ which he threw multiple touchdown passes.
The Ravens are not an easy matchup. Last season, they ranked sixth in aFPA to quarterbacks. However, there aren’t many great streaming options for Week 2. The potential positive with Minshew is that he might n𝔉eed to throw more than usual if the Raiders can’t stop the Ravens’ potent offense. The potential for added passing attempts alone puts Minshew into streaming consideration. He is still available in 95% of Yahoo leagues.
Daniel Jones (Giants) at Commanders
Jones’ first game back from a torn ACL couldn’t have been much worse. Not only was he picked off twice, but one of them was꧋ returned for a touchdown.
He did not look comfortable in the pocket, often held the ball for too long, and he was not accurate, completi💟ng just 52.4% of his passes. Even with all of the garbage time late, he still threw😼 for just 186 yards.
As bad as Jones looked, he’s still worth streaming in deep🥂 leagues this week. He did have six carries against the Vikings, a few of which were designed runs. We’ve seen what he can do with his legs before, such as when he ran for 708 yards and seven touchdowns in 2021.
The main reason to consider strea💞ming him is his matchup versus the Commanders, who gave up the four touchdown passes to Mayfield in Week 1. Jones is still available in 93% of Yahoo leagues.
