Keegan Bradley – The new captain for America’s 2025 Ryder Cup team may have been chosen. According to , Keegan Bradleওy, who was not selected for the 2023 team, is reportedly the pick to lead the team against Europe next year at Bethpage.
Tiger Woods, who was initially expected to be the captain, mentioned in May that he has been very occupied with assisting the PGA Tour-Saudi Arabia alignment. Woods may still play an advisory role, depending on Bradley’s preferences.
It’s been quite a turnaround for Bradley in the Ryder Cup. Last year, he was left out of the Zach Johnson-captained team, which sparked a lot of debate. The U.S. team suffered a big loss in Rome, and the organizers are really hoping for a better result at Bethpage Black in New York next year.
Bradley has won six times on the PGA Tour, including the 2011 PGA Championship. He has played in three international team events — two Ryder Cups and one Presidents Cup — but n♌one since 2014. His record in the 2012 and 2014 Ryder Cups is 4-2, and in the 2013 Presidents🧸 Cup, he went 2-2-1.
He seemed like a sure pick for the team last year, but Johnson chose Justin Thomas instead. Bradley’s bitter disappointment was captured in “Full Swing,” the Netflix documentary that has covered the past two golf seasons. After the U.S. team’s loss at Marco Simone in Italy, Johnson’s decisions, starting with leaving out Bradley, faced a lot of criticism. And rightfully so. Bradley handled his snub with about as much class as humanly possible. The docu-series laid out just how much the Ryder Cup has meant to Bradley over the years and how desperately he wants to get back on the team to wash the bad taste out of his mouth from 2014. In fact, Bradley still hasn’t unpacked his Ryder Cup suitcase from the 2014 trip and claims he won’t do so until he’s a part of a winning team.

The PGA of America will make an official announcement on Tuesday. Other rumored candidates for the captain’s role include Stewart Cink, Davis Love III, and Fred Couples.
