Home Run Derby Prize Money
Is there money at stake? Yes! The winner of the Home Run Derby gets $1 million. Back in 2019, MLB increased the prize pool for the event from $725,000 to $2.5 million. This boosted the winning amount to $1 million for whatever player smacks the most homers at All-Star Weekend’s biggest event.

The 2024 MLB Home Run Derby is on Monday, July 15, 2024. MLB stars Gunnar Henderson, Bobby Witt Jr., and Jose Ramirez are among the field of players set to take center stage. You can watch the event on ESPN, ESPN+, MLB.TV, and MLB.com.
Where is the 2024 Home Run Derby?
This year’s event will take place at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas. It is home to the 2023 World Series Champion Texas Rangers.
2024 Home Run Derby Participants
There is plenty of star power in this year’s event including young superstars Gunnar Henderson and Bobby Witt Jr. Also, Marcell Ozuna and Jose Ramirez are in the field after great 2024 seasons at the break.
