A long-standing tradition at Augusta National for the Masters is the wallet-friendly concessions, one thing the patrons can count on that won’t break the bank during their time at the prestigious golf tournament. There are over 30 menu items available with none of them costing more than $6, which as we all know is incredible for any event let alone a major golf tournament.
Some player and patron favorites include the various sandwiches, the peach ice cream sandwich, and the southern cheese straws. While the prices are still incredibly low, a few menu items will cost you a little more in 2024 than during last year’s tournament. The price of the famous peach ice cream sandwich is a smidge more this year, up to $3 from $2.50, and beer is $6, an increase of one dollar for import, domestic, and the Crows Nest craft wheat ale that’s brewed especially for this tournament.

Why are Food Prices so Cheap at the Masters?
It’s part of the experience. The whole Augusta National Golf Club creates a nostalgic feel for many of the patrons and little changes from year to year. Former Augusta National Chairman Billy Payne was quoted back in 2007, “We want the experience to not only be the best but to be affordable. And we take certain things very, very seriously. Like the cost of a pimento cheese sandwich is just as important as how high the second cut (of grass) is going to be”.
If we go back even further to a book written by another former Chairman of Augusta National Clifford Roberts entitled ‘The Story of Augusta National Golf Club’, he states, “We believe that one of the reasons the Masters is popular with patrons of the game is because they can obtain good food and drink at reasonable prices”. Not much has changed which is refreshing when it comes to patron’s wallets.
