The 2024 NFL Draft has another big prospect confirmed this afternoon. LSU quartā±erback ā and Heisman Trophy winner ā Jayden Daniels declared for the draft today in a on his X account.
Daniels was named the Heisman Trophy winner last weekend after receiving 211 more first-place votes than his next-closest nominee. Daniels’ 2023 season was one to remember as he put up some dazzling numbers for the Tigers this season.
Daniels for 3,812 yards and 40 touchdowns ā with just four interceptions ā and rushed for 1,134 yards and 10 touchdowns. Daniels averaged 412.2 yards of total offense per game this season and had at least 382 yardā¤s of total offense in each of LSUās three losses.
Daniels is expected to be a first-round draft pick in the 2024 NFL Draft, and some believe that he could even challenge North Carolina’s Drake Maye (who has already declared for the draft) and USC’s Caleb Williams (who will, in all likelihood, declare as well).
The draft is shaping up to be one with plenty ofį¦ quarterbacks taken in the first round. Some analysts have aš»s many as five to six quarterbacks going in the first round, with Daniels consistently being mocked behind Williams and Maye as the third quarterback taken in the first round in April.
Daniels will skip LSU’s bowl game as he begins to prepare for the NFL Draft.
