Round 2, Pick 54: G Christian Haynes, UConn
Becoming only the third player in school history to earn the prestigious title of All-American, Haynes exemplifies a disciplined approach to his assignments, whether in run blocking or pass protection. His resilience 🌺and strength are qualities that resonate strongly with NFL offensive line coaches. While his athleticism may not be exceptional, particularly in open spaces, Haynes displays impressive short-area agility and maintainꦏs excellent balance. Following his standout showing at the Senior Bowl, Haynes has positioned himself as a potential Day 2 draft selection.
Round 3, Pick 85: DI Michael Hall Jr., Ohio State
Hall is✨ a bit of a project but worth a swing inside the top 100. With three third-rounders here and an excellent class thus far, this is a good spot to roll 💫the dice.
Hall’s size limits his potential in the NFL, but he has good strength and can hold his own against bigger players. He is quick and ag♑ile but lacks the necessary power to take advantage of early opportunities against stronger opponents. Hall needs to gain weight, but he can still compete as a backup and be a valuable asset as a sub-rusher in a one-gapping scheme.
Round 5, Pick 156: LB Michael Barrett, Michigan
Michael Barrett, a seasoned linebacker, has been a key player for the Wolverines and was instrumental in their National Championship run. With above-average size and athleticism, he excels in pass coverage, displaying great zone awareness and speed. Barrett’s strength lies in his ability to chase down ball carriers from sideline to sideline, though he faces challenges with misdirection plays and taking on blockers. Despite his shortcomings in run defense, his relentless motor and physicality make him a valuable asset on defense, though he may be limited to a part-time role in the NFL.
Round 6, Pick 206: CB Josh Wallace, Michigan
Wallace is a draftable prospect as a wide cornerback. Although undersized, he’s a natural leader with an excellent work ethic. He has adeqꦦuate a♓thleticism in man-to-man coverage but lacks the size to control larger NFL targets. Wallace has exceptional route-reading skills but an average closing burst. He’s intelligent, versatile, and a good tackler, making him a solid backup candidate.
Round 7, Pick 243: DI Evan Anderson, Florida Atlantic
Evan, a seasoned fourth-year junior from FAU, boasts solid stature and remarkable power, particularly evident in his adept use of hands and strength at the point of attack. His versatility shines as he adept༒ly transitions between roles, effectively plugging running lanes and pressuring quarterbacks from various defensive line positions. With quick feet and keen football intelligence, he consistently disrupts plays, shedding blocks and making tackles with precision.
