We’ve reached the mock draft portion of the offseason and the 49ers are up. They are once again coming off a tough loss to the Chiefs in the Super Bowl and will be looking to return to that elusive title game for what could be their ninth time in franchise history. The recent free agency period has been an active one for the 49ers, as they’ve addressed some much-needed depth across both sides of the ball.
We’re a little under a month away from the 2024 NFL Draft and it’s time to speculate what General Manager John Lynch will do with the San Francisco 49ers’ first three selections in this mock draft.

2024 NFL Mock Draft: 49ers First Three Rounds
The San Francisco 49ers have a loaded roster and are at a point where they need some future depth. While they put themselves in a position to go ꦡwith the best player available approach with a bustling free agency haul, some needs are offensive tackle, guard, wide receiver, defensive end, cornerback, and linebacker. Assuming no trades up or down, here are the first three picks in my 2024 NFL Mock Draft.

2024 NFL Mock Draft: Round 1, Pick 31 – Kamari Lassiter (CB) Georgia
Five of the current members of the 49ers secondary are set to hit free agency next season, so grabbing a corner in this year’s 𒊎draft is a solid move for the future of the franchise.
Lassiter boasts a desirable combination of size and instincts, making him a shutdown threat against even the most elite wide receivers. He excels in press coverage, using his strength to jam receivers at the line of scrimmage and disrupt their routes before they even begin. The former Bulldog’s fluid movement allows him to stay in phase with his assignment deep down the field, no matter how shifty or speedy they are. Lassiter held his own in a conference loaded with elite wide receivers (SEC), earning a reputation for shutting down the opposing team’s top targets.
2024 Mock Draft: Round 2, Pick 63 – Patrick Paul (OT) Houston
The San Francisco 49ers signed starting right tackle Colton McKivitz to a contract extension earlier in the offseason with Trent Williams solid on the left. Williams is 35 years old and McKivitz underwhelmed, leaving a need to bolster the line. Paul boasts exceptional arm length and strength, enabling him to neutralize defenders once he establishes a grip effectively. He’s speedy and agile allowing him to excel in pass protection and connect with moving targets in run-blocking scenarios. Paul would be a great fit to learn from veteran Williams.
2024 Mock Draft: Round 3, Pick 94 – Johnny Wilson (WR) Florida State
For now, it appears the 49ers will have Brandon Aiyuk, Deebo Samuel, and Jauan Jennings anchoring their wide receiver room but Aiyuk is clamoring for a big contract extension in 2025, Jennings will be a free agent, Samuel’s large contract does feature an “escape clause”. This could lead to a wideout being selected among their top picks and Wilson fits the bill here.
At 6’7” and 237 pounds with a massive wingspan, he’s a beast on the field. Wilson is quick off the snap and glides with ease as a deep-ball threat. His diversity should translate well in the NFL as he can be deployed in the slot or outside and has showcased solid blocking prowess.
