The 2024 NFL Draft is late☂r this month and teams like the Jacksonville Jaguars are looking to add top talent to get back into th🐽e playoffs. Check out our latest Jaguars mock draft for the first three rounds as Jacksonville addresses the wide receiver position and depth on defense.
2024 NFL Mock Draft: Jacksonville Jaguars in Round 1
Calvin Ridley is gone and the Jaguars are looking to add one more playmaking option at the receiver position to complement Christian Kirk. The Jaguars would love to add a top cornerback in round 1 but they might be able to get their guy with a few😼 teams ahead of them targeting top cover guys.
Round 1, Pick 17: Brian Thomas Jr. – WR (LSU)
Brian Thomas Jr. is the total package with size (6’3″) and speed (4.33 40-yard dash). He will be a nice weapon for Trevor Lawrence. Thomas had a monster in 2023 and looks primed to be a quality target in the NFL. He caught 68 passes for 1,177 yards and 17 touchdowns at LSU last season. Stellar production and tremendous have him landing with the Jags in our latest mock draft.
More Options in Round 1 for the Jaguars
We expect the Jags to go with Thomas due to several top corners already off the board. If available, the Jaguars could address holes in their secondary by adding an elite cornerback. Depending on how the dominoes fall, the Jags could get cornerback Terrion Arnold from Alabama or maybe Cooper DeJean from Iowa. Both players are ready to make an immediate impact. Also, Arnold’s teammate Kool-Aid McKinstry could be another possible target.
Jaguars Mock Draft Round 2 and 3
Now, let’s jump to rounds 2 and 3. Take a look at which way the Jaguars could go after taking Brian Thomas Jr. in the first round.
Round 2, Pick 48: Marshawn Kneeland – EDGE (Western Michigan)
The second round might see all of the top corners already off the board so the Ja𒉰guars will want to address depth in their pass ru💙sh. Marshawn Kneeland would add a nice buffer for Josh Allen and Travon Walker on the edge. Kneeland has improved his stock drastically since the end of the season.
Round 3: Pick 96: Renardo Green – CB (Florida State)
Since the Jaguars don’t address the cornerback position in round 1 or 2, they will have to add depth to their secondary in the 3rd round. Renardo Green is great in coverage and could be a great value pick in the middle rounds for the Jaguars. Scouts love his size (6’0″) and he should be able to adjust to the NFL game nicely.
More Jacksonville Needs in the 2024 NFL Draft
The Jaguars will also need to address their interior offensive line along with their offensive line. Don’t be surprised to see Jacksonville load up on players in the trenches to add plenty of depth for the 2024 season.
